Government of Canada — The official website. Contains Canadian Law information, with links to any agencies and government departments nationwide. Search for information on starting a business in Canada.
Canada Business — Government of Canada website outlining programs and services for entrepreneurs. Contains comprehensive information on all aspects of business for Canadians and non-Canadians. This page covers everything you need to research, register, and run your business in Canada.
Service Ontario — Click on the link to “Your Business from Start to Finish.” This website is not specific to art-related subjects, but will help you define, develop, and grow your business, and explains the various services offered by the Ontario government.
Chapter 2: Becoming a Multifaceted Entrepreneur
About.com page on developing your career as an artist/painter — This has many art-related articles that should help you pose and answer the right questions regarding your new venture. Among the subjects I found informative were those about setting up and designing your own art website, taking digital photos of your paintings, and good habits of an artist.
Questia.com — Online library of articles and books. “Art” contains many subcategories including art teaching, therapy, symbolism.
